We love any kind of exercise, but especially love outdoors exercise.
We spent the weekend exploring the French Alps on cross-country skis, a great way to venture into the woods while getting a great work-out.
During our trip we were intrigued to learn that we not only eat according to Paleo principles but also exercise like our ancestors did. Cross-country skiing was already invented in the Paleolithic era as cave drawings in central France showed man hunting reindeer on cross-country skis!
Burning an average of 800 calories per hour on our cross-country skis we ate a lot of local meat, fish and vegetables – what better way to spend a weekend?
As described in a previous post, exercising more frequently is great for your health. When looking into weekend trips, cross-country trips are on our recommendation list!
