Beets contain nitrates which allow for increased blood flow and subsequently deliver more oxygen and nutrients to the working muscles, improving stamina by lowering exercise oxygen requirements.
This recipe makes smoothie for two.
- Two beets
- 75 grams of spinach
- A handful of goji berries
- A table spoon of Spirulina
- A table spoon of Maca
- A handful of raw cacao
- A scoop of protein powder of choice
- 500 ml water
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend on high speed for 30 seconds
- Divide the mixture over two glasses
- Add the raw cacao nibs for crunch
