These brownies are insanely tasty.

Adding a whole bunch of very healthy ingredients together = brownies? It almost sounds too good to be true but it is! They are incredibly simple to make so why not give them a go? These brownies, providing your body with plenty good nutrients and energy are the perfect naughty yet guilt-free snack and will last a couple of days in the fridge (if you can resist them).

This recipe will take about 10 minutes to prepare, needs refrigerating for at least one hour and will make approximately eight brownies. A food processor or blender is needed.

INGREDIENTS

Base

  • 150 grams of pecans or walnuts
  • 100 grams of desiccated coconut
  • 100 grams of dates
  • One table spoon of coconut oil
  • One table spoon of raw cacao powder
  • Optional: two scoops of chocolate protein powder (a raw vegan version preferably like Sun Warrior)

Frosting

  • Two avocados
  • Two table spoons of coconut oil
  • One table spoon of raw cacao powder

PREPARATION

Base

  1. Add all base ingredients to the blender or food processor and blend until coarse
  2. Scoop the mixture into a cake form and press into the form

Frosting

  1. Peel the avocados and take the seed out
  2. Add the avocados with the other frosting ingredients to the blender or food processor and blend until creamy
  3. Add the creamy frosting to the base in the cake form and spread evenly
  4. Refrigerate for at least one hour

Serve when ready!
